In our house, spring means one thing: National Pi Day! We, of course, celebrate it as National Pie Day and we pretty much celebrate it all

Everyone who knows us knows that Michael and I are both big fans of cream pie – and no one does them better than Marie Callender’s. I got an email from Whole Foods Market this afternoon, letting me know that all of the yummy treats above are on sale this weekend for $5 or less.
Because I would do anything for you, my wonderful readers — and because I had a sudden craving for chocolate — I grabbed my car keys and got on the 5 at 3 p.m. on a Friday to head to Whole Foods Market Del Mar so I could test them myself and report back.

If you follow my blog (which I hope you do, and for which I am eternally grateful), you know that I’ve been traveling a lot this summer. In fact, I was only home six days in August, which may be why Michael looks so relaxed.

Okay, so I was supposed to go for my Jenny Craig weigh-in last Thursday but I postponed it because I thought I had jury duty. (The court was actually closed that day but that’s a whole other story.)
I also postponed it because I had that coconut cream deliciousness from Extraordinary Desserts, above, for Michael’s birthday.
And a large popcorn during the screening of 50 Shades of Grey.
