I love love love the new Beauty and the Beast movie. One of the best parts, of course, is the Beast’s library, so I wrote “Belle Would Be Enchanted by These 10 Lovely Libraries in Hotels” for USA Today 10Best.Read All Entries
Welcome to the new face of Buick.
After two streamlined decades, that iconic tri-shield insignia — inspired by David Dunbar Buick’s family crest — has gotten a makeover. It’s returned to its colorful roots to pay homage to the company’s storied history. What do you think of it?
I got to see the big reveal on the beautiful new 2017 Buick LaCrosse at the Los Angeles Auto Show last week. For me, it was a full-circle moment and the perfect way to end my year-long #ExperienceBuick program. [Read more…]
I love when companies come up with a really well-thought out idea that has the potential to be a game-changer, and Buick has just introduced one designed to bring down drivers’ stress level, promote better health and prevent road rage.
Americans spend an average of 38,000 hours — 38,000 hours! — in their cars over the course of a lifetime so anything that can be done to make that experience a more pleasant one has a huge impact.
As a Buick blogger, I got to attend the media launch of this amazing program in Los Angeles, and I was blown away by its smart and practical components. It’s called “24 Hours of Happiness,” and I’m still smiling about it weeks later. [Read more…]
I headed off to the Final Four, sure of two things: 1) Indiana was a homophobic, unwelcoming state and 2) Kentucky was going to take the championship.
I was wrong on both counts, causing me to experience what I will, from now on, refer to as #thatsabuick moments. [Read more…]
Okay, whoever said “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” is just plain wrong.
As proof, let me offer up my bracket picks for the NCAA Final Four. A week ago, I had no idea what any of those words even meant.
Now, because I’m an #ExperienceBuick influencer and Buick just happens to be a key sponsor of the beloved men’s basketball tournament and there’s a very generous prize at the end for the winner of our bracket, I am — as Randy Jackson used to say on American Idol — in it to win it. [Read more…]
After laughing over Woof, Buick’s new ad campaign which aired during the Westminster Dog Show last week, I realized just how fitting it is that I’m part of the Experience Buick team this year.
Take a look at this adorable 30 second commercial:
As you know, I am totally a dog lover. I have been known to let strange dogs use my face for licking, I tear up whenever I see a guide dog and I have thrown myself at K-9 police dogs, only to be told to “please step back.” [Read more…]
After visiting Detroit, I’m especially proud to be partnering with Buick in 2015 for a yearlong adventure where I get to experience the iconic brand with a small group of bloggers. I’ll be going behind the scenes to see how the cars are actually made, attending some special events Buick sponsors and getting to drive some of their cars.
This project became even more exciting to me after our first event last week: [Read more…]
One of the highlights of getting to #ExperienceBuick in Detroit last weekend was meeting Andi Fisher of Misadventures with Andi. She is an awesome person and I’m so excited about spending time with her over the next year.
Andi does a great monthly post called “Currently,” which I just discovered because I have a bunch of assignments due and I am currently procrastinating.
Because I totally fell in love with this idea and it gave me a glimpse into Andi’s life — and it’s a quick and easy post — I decided to try one myself. I may even do this monthly. [Read more…]
