I was so honored to be invited to join Anne Lamott and Cheryl Strayed in San Francisco for a private conversation about their writing – and so bummed that I couldn’t make it! I would have hopped on a plane in a minute but was leaving for Miraval that same day (yes, that was pretty much a win-win either way).
Anne Lamott and Cheryl Strayed are two of my favorite writers, and both have inspired me in so many ways. I interviewed Cheryl back after devouring an Advance Reading Copy of Wild because I found the book – and her whole experience – so empowering, and had so many questions for her. You can read that Q&A here.
I will be interviewing Anne Lamott soon about her new book, Help, Thanks, Wow, which I can’t wait to read. If you have any questions for her – I know so many of you are big fans, too – just leave them below. We’ll be giving away a copy of the book, as well.
Meanwhile, enjoy this conversation between two of this generation’s best writers.

It is very inspiring to hear accomplished writers have some of the same doubts and fears as I do. We are so connected in many ways and that is what makes each one of stronger and able to move forward.

I also love Anne Lemott!
