twisted mixtape tuesdays: american idols!

Twisted Mix-Tape Tuesdays

This week’s Twisted Mixtape Tuesday theme is Dealer’s Choice, so I chose “American Idols” because, well, I have an ulterior motive.

You see, this week is also the finale of Blogger Idol, and I’m hoping you’ll be inspired to take a few seconds and vote for me. There are just two of us left, and every vote means so much. You just have to click here, scroll down to the blue column that says “Vote for your favorite finale assignment,” click the little circle to the left of either one of my posts, “Amster-damn” or “Confessions of an Introverted Blogger,” and click “Vote.” Make sure you see the pop-up confirmation that says, “Thank you for voting.” You only get one vote per IP address so please use as many electronic devices as you have, and please ask everyone you know to vote, too. I can’t thank you enough!

Okay, on to business! Here are some of my favorites from American Idol.

Mad World by Adam Lambert

This is probably my favorite American Idol performance ever. It looks like it might have been the judges’ favorite, too.

Billie Jean by David Cook

I remember being blown away watching him take this Michael Jackson classic and turn it into a David Cook classic.

Falling Slowly by Crystal Bowersox and Lee Dewyze

Crystal should definitely have won instead of Lee but their duet was a highlight of the season.

Paint It Black by Siobhan Magnus

Siobhan was quirky and unique, and I always looked forward to seeing what she would do next.

Hero by David Cook and David ArchuletaFunny that I’m including two David Cook songs here since I can’t remember the last time I’ve heard anything new from him, but there’s something about this finale performance that I really loved.

Please run over to Blogger Idol and vote for me! xo

  1. I quit watching after the Crystal Bowersox season when she didn’t win. And I loved watching Adam Lambert during his season, especially his Ring of Fire version.

  2. Fun choice! I watched a couple seasons of AI WAY back when Fantasia was on and I can’t even remember who else. Then I watched a season of X-Factor and really enjoyed that, then our third child came along and that was the end of that. Fun list! Enjoyed listening to these.
