Thanks to P&G Everyday for sponsoring this post and encouraging healthy habits.
Every day since he started using Metamucil, my husband makes a point of telling me how much he likes it.
“It’s actually working,” he’ll say in the morning.
Every morning.
“I’m so glad I started using this,” he’ll say in the evening.
Every evening.
Yes, he is now regular as clockwork. In both his speech and, yes, in the way Metamucil was intended.
I’m not surprised that it’s the number one doctor-recommended fiber brand because my husband is right – it works.
Twice a day, we put a teaspoon of Metamucil in a glass of cold water, stir it briskly, toast to each other’s health and drink it promptly. We make sure to take it at least two hours before or after medicines as it may affect their efficacy.
This is such an easy way to help maintain healthy blood sugar levels as part of a healthy diet* and help lower cholesterol†.
Metamucil’s natural psyllium fiber helps your digestive system run smoothly. We can actually feel the difference.
By trapping and removing the waste that weighs you down*, Metamucil can also help you feel lighter in just a couple of weeks. I definitely feel less bloated and, if I add another teaspoon of Metamucil to my water, it makes me less hungry between meals*, which is a huge plus.
My mom wants to try Metamucil, too, and I’m going to check out “Empty Nest, Full Life” on P&G Everyday to see if they’re offering any coupons now. This great resource is free, and I’ve found exclusive coupons, recipes and tips for our home and health there. I hope you’ll check it out.
Thanks to Metamucil, the nest’s not the only thing that’s empty.
Diets low in saturated fat and cholesterol that include 7 grams of soluble fiber per day from psyllium husk, as in Metamucil, may reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering cholesterol. One serving of Metamucil Powder has at least 2.4 grams of this soluble fiber. Consult a doctor if you are considering use of this product as part of a cholesterol-lowering program.

I’ve been told by a few family members that this stuff works wonders! I have an uncle with GI issues who takes it every day. I never thought about it helping with bloating, though, which I do get sometimes.

I’ve never actually tried metamucil…but if it helps with bloating…maybe I should give it a go!!!

I am glad there is a product out there for those who don’t get enough fiber in their diet!
GusW says
Its very difficult to get enough fibre in any diet and not only that but medications as we get older tend to block the system up. Metamucil is a pleasant way to get more than just any old fibre but one that binds everything and cleans you right out. It’s got nothing to do with getting enough fibre and everything to do with getting the right kind and in an easy way.

I’ve heard of metamucil before (who hasn’t) but I honestly never even knew what it was for. Does it taste ok? That would be my only hesitation at this point!

It’s actually got a good orange flavor. I am very picky about this kind of stuff, and I like the way it tastes!

Metamucil has been helping my sister and she claims it was created for her.
