Thank you to Natrol Cognium for sponsoring this post. All opinions are, as always, 100% mine.
The older I get, the more elusive words tend to be.
This is not ideal for a writer.
All too often, I’ll find myself stopping in the middle of a sentence to find that word – you know, that word. It’s so close, I can almost grab it but it’s flying just a little out of reach. I can kind of sense the first letter – or the sound – or something. But it can take me a while and some Googling and maybe a call to Michael or one of the kids, before that “YES!” comes and I can get back to work.
Last month, when I was researching a piece for National Brain Awareness Month, I remembered two special words that had made a difference in my life before and helped improve my memory: Natrol Cognium.
This breakthrough brain health supplement has been clinically shown to improve memory and recall in healthy adults. In fact, the active ingredient in Natrol Cognium is the #1 most clinically studied ingredient for memory among leading brain health supplements. Plus it’s safe and stimulant-free. I had tried it myself a couple of years ago, so I knew it actually made a difference and it was time to start using it again.
I headed to CVS for a bottle and started my daily routine: one in the morning and one in the evening. It takes 3-4 weeks to experience what Natrol calls your “Cognium Moments” – those moments when you feel sharp and that you’ve got this, whatever that “this” is for you. I will admit mine took closer to the full 4 weeks because, after that first day, I forgot to take it for a few days – proving I needed to get serious about it.
Natrol offers easy and practical Brain Health Tips on their website, so I spent some time checking those out:
Confession: During the entire month of June, the only one of these things I did every single day was take Natrol Cognium. I was traveling so much and was on deadline for so many articles, there was no way I could squeeze in any more time to exercise, see my friends, read a book or eat better on a daily basis. And I haven’t had 8 hours of sleep in years – although I do strive for it.
So, the fact that my mind feels sharper now can only be attributed to Natrol Cognium.
I’m not losing words the way I was, and I’m even able to help my friends find theirs when we’re out, having lunch, and I recognize that look in their eyes when they’re in the middle of a story and suddenly pause and go, “Oh, I can’t remember … you know what I mean … oh, what’s that word?”
To help all of you proactively mind your own brain health, here’s a $4 off coupon so you can try Natrol Cognium yourself.
Give it a month, and let me know what you think. Share your #CogniumMoments with me — and let the words flow.
