Are there any words more frightening than that title?
As I admitted to you after Thanksgivukkah last week, I indulged a little (a little? ha ha ha!) too much in my mom’s irresistible potato latkes and mandel bread.
Well, I just got back from my weekly weigh-in and am shocked to announce I LOST TWO AND A HALF POUNDS!
I know! Even Marne, my amazing counselor, was surprised!
I’ve already thanked Jenny Craig and Jazzercise in my Thanksgiving gratitude list, but I need to do it again here and encourage any of you who are struggling with weight loss to give them both a try. If this sounds like an endorsement, well, it is. A ringing one. Yes, they’ve both sponsored me but the opinions are 100% mine — and so is the weight loss. They’re actually not even opinions; they’re facts, as the numbers on the scale will attest.
I think I’ve finally gotten my mind to a place where I’ve learned to balance my cravings, and my body to a place where it’s woken up, revved up my metabolism — finally — and is responding to my efforts.
It’s pretty awesome.
If you have any questions about either program, please feel free to ask away. If I — someone who hates exercise and depriving herself — can do this, any of you can.
So, thank you, Jenny Craig and Jazzercise. I’m off to Chipotle for dinner tonight!
*I received a free month on the Jenny Craig program in order to do this review. There was no compensation. The opinions expressed are my own and not influenced in any way. Note: Clients following the Jenny Craig program, on average, lose 1-2 lbs per week.
