marie callender’s frozen desserts: more to be thankful for

Marie Callender's frozen

I am participating in a Vibrant Influencer Network sponsored campaign for Marie Callender’s. All opinions are, as always, 100% mine. I am in no way affiliated with Marie Callender’s and do not earn a commission or percent of sales.

It’s no secret that I don’t cook. Or that I love food. Or that I especially love dessert.

So, I thought, right in time for Thanksgiving, I would share with you my secret for simple, delicious, crowd-pleasing desserts: Marie Callender’s frozen desserts.

If you’re a pie fanatic, I’m sure you already know how yummy Marie Callender’s pies are. Well, for better or worse, everyone in my family has a different favorite. My husband is all about the banana cream, my son has a thing for the chocolate chip mint, my daughter is a chocolate silk girl and, me? Just bring on the coconut cream, please.

Marie Callender's 4 pies

This means we could buy four whole pies, which we’ve done before but realize it’s probably not the best idea, even though – or, rather, because – they’re gone in a day. Or we could try to compromise on one flavor but someone will probably end up hangry. (Note: if you go out for Chinese food with us, let me warn you now we’re not big sharers and we each like to have our own dish. We will let you have a taste, though.)

Luckily, Marie Callender’s has come up with these brilliant little gems so everyone can have exactly what they want. The individual desserts come two in a package, and they take 15 seconds to microwave or you can let them thaw at room temperature for half an hour.

Marie Callender's boxes and pies

There was a minute when I panicked, worrying that what looks like an individual serving to me, would be considered a couple of servings to the rest of the world, but I checked the box and this generous portion is, indeed, meant for one. Hallelujah!

We chose to test the coconut cream pies (hey, I’m the one doing the writing here) and the double chocolate cakes (everyone likes chocolate). I also got an apple pie for my husband which smelled so delicious coming out of the microwave, I almost didn’t get to add the finishing touches of whipped cream and sugar crystals. If he didn’t know me better, he would have sworn I had slaved over this all day.

You can certainly pile on fruit or nuts or whipped cream or whatever else may appeal to you, and I do love the Frozen theme I created with pearl and glitter toppings in that top photo! It’s the only time guests would even associate the word “frozen” with these yummy treats because they’d never guess they weren’t baked from scratch.

Personally, I’m a purist and believe these desserts are perfect just the way they are. They don’t need any embellishments because they are already rich and flavorful. I see no reason to divert my taste buds from this coconut creamy goodness.

What makes them so special is that they taste like they’re homemade (actually, way better than my homemade) and they don’t require the hosts to spend a ton of time preparing them. Plus, you can pick them up in the freezer section of your grocery store.

Check out the wide variety of Marie Callender’s frozen desserts here — spoiler alert: you will drool — and end your Thanksgiving dinner or any meal on a sweet note.

Yep, just one more reason to be thankful.

  5. I definitely have a sweet tooth and I love pie. Chocolate and Boston Creme probably my favorite. I will have to try the Marie Callender option – I am glad to hear the portions are generous because I want a Big piece

  6. I will have you know I almost put my finger through the screen of my laptop trying to taste one of those! This post should come with a double warning:
    1) Fabulous shortcut tip inside!
    and
    2) Pies are not as close as they appear.
