I wasn’t planning to write about Jenny Craig again until next week but I was so shocked at my weigh-in this morning, I had to share with you.

As I fully confessed to my adorable counselor, Monica, we went out to eat way more than we should have this week, and I feasted on Chipotle, including chips, at our local Carmel Valley favorite, where my BFFs behind the counter extra-generously scoop white rice and cheese on my steak bowl. I also enjoyed, at Mimi’s, the delicious quiche Lorraine and carrot raisin muffin (which must weigh a pound by itself) because we had a buy one get one free coupon. Oh, yeah, and I had a lobster roll and fries at The Fish Market when we went out to celebrate my mom’s birthday.

But, despite all of this, I lost 1.2 pounds! That was amazing but that wasn’t even the shocker. Remember I told you I lost 5 pounds last week?

Well, I was wrong.

I had actually lost 6.2 pounds!

That must have been too much for my brain to process at the time! So, I’ve now lost 7.4 pounds in two weeks. Woo hoo!

I’m telling you this to show you it can be done. That you can still lose weight without giving up the food you love.

The Jenny Craig food is delicious, and I eat all day.

I’ve been trying to drink eight glasses of water a day, although most days I think I manage about six.

And I’ve been exercising more — but only 10 minutes on the elliptical or 15 minutes to the Dancing With the Stars workout video. Michael has been so supportive in doing that with me, and we are a sight to behold, doing the Suzie Q.

So, I am more inspired than ever.

And I’ll be celebrating with some triple chocolate cheesecake tonight.

  3. This sounds great! You must be doing something right and I bet you are more active than you thought. I have heard that Jenny Craig is a great program and it will be fun following you along on this journey.
