my buick bucket list trip: day 1

Buick Encore - Hermitage

A couple of months ago, Buick offered to sponsor a “bucket list” trip for Michael and me – a gesture so generous, we realized the only way to properly express our gratitude was to pay it forward.

We went through the items on each of our bucket lists and pretty quickly decided to volunteer at the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee and spend a few days in Nashville. We had never been there before, and we thought this would be a great way to give back while getting a real taste of the South. (And, trust me, we took that “tasting” part seriously – and literally.)

This trip was so meaningful to me, it’s taken two months for me to process it enough to write about it. [Read more…]
