It’s no secret that I’m kind of obsessed with The Fruit Company.
It all started last summer with a delivery of juicy peaches. Then, last week, they sent me the most delicious Honeycrisp apples which so many of you drooled over and ordered for yourself that The Fruit Company generously offered to do a giveaway of one of their most coveted gift baskets!
Yes, there is a Holiday Hamper Fruit Basket with one of your names on it!
Not the one above — as you can see, that one has my name on it (with an adorable little drawing of a pear, thank you very much, Serene!) — but one just like it. And, oh, let me tell you about it.
First of all, I was out all day yesterday so I didn’t get it until late afternoon. When I started unpacking it, well, let me show you their official picture since my photos may have come out a little dark and blurry in my rush to get to the goods.
How gorgeous is that?! To me, at 5:00 in the evening, it seemed to be the perfect dinner. So I started cutting slices of salami, sandwiching it between the two types of crackers, dipping them into the green olive tapenade and alternating it all with bites of apple.
When Michael walked in, he went right for the chocolate covered cherries. Being a vegetarian, he skipped the salami but made up for it with the creamy cheese.
We were tearing open the shortbread cookies — we totally love a company who understands that no meal is complete without dessert — when we focused in on these words that made us so happy:
There was more!
We started tossing aside the protective filler and, true to their word, there was a whole other layer of pears underneath!
Well, we know what we’ll be eating today and tomorrow and as long as we can resist just totally stuffing our faces.

Since I can’t eat any cane sugar, nor most other sugars. I rely on fruit to be my dessert and candy. Their fruit looks very FRESH and that is totally important.

Fruit baskets are my favorite. My grandmother used to send them to me every Christmas when I was still living in OK. She passed away a few years ago and husband has yet to take my hints.

I absolutely love The Fruit Company! I just recently got to try it for the first time a few days ago when I received a giant box full of tons of yummy stuff from my wonderful grandma for Christmas. It didn’t go very far with 7 children my husband and my in-laws all helping eat it but everyone hot to try everything. I know what I am getting everyone for Christmas next year. 😉 p.s. The pears were absolutely delicious! I never liked pears before but I now have a new favorite fruit.
